This medium can be used on top of Vintage Chalk Paint from the same brand to give it a cool surface and cause it to crackle.

Paint the surface with Vintage Chalk Paint and let it dry for 30 minutes. After that you can apply a layer of Crackle Medium on top of the paint, let it dry for at least an hour. The thickness of the layer determines the size of the crackles. When it has dried, you apply another layer with paint. This layer will crackle, and the base layer will be visible through the cracks.
