If you want to write like the calligraphy artists do, you will need a brush, a fountain pen, a pen with a flat nib or a dip pen, and of course – ink! You can use India ink or some other favourite ink of yours, and the results will surely turn out beautiful.

India ink can be used for drawing or sketching but is also often used for calligraphy. To write with a brush has its roots in Asia, and that is why India ink is called Indian or Chinese ink. The India ink is based on natural pigments, it is lightfast and in some cases waterproof. India ink should not be used in a fountain pen with a reservoir.
