Fiskars
Finnish company Fiskars was started back in the 17th century the same time as many ironworks were founded. In 1649, Peter Thorwöste was allowed to build a forge in the small city Fiskars, which was the start of something big.
In 1783 the Björkman family took over the company and almost a century later Fiskars started manufacturing cutlery and later the scissors that we sell today at Pen Store. Fiskars was the first company that sold scissors with plastic handles, which was launched on the market in 1967. Today this colourful look is iconic and the scissors has been sold in over a billion copies. The supplies from Fiskars have won a number of awards, Red Dot Award, Good Design Award, Popular Mechanics Green Design Award, Ease-of-Use Commendation just to name a few.
