Caran d’Ache Neocolor I are high-quality, water-resistant wax pastels with a soft, creamy consistency and a high pigment concentration. The colours offer good covering power and can be built up in several layers to create both intense areas of colour and varied colour blends.

The pastels can be used for everything from lines and details to larger areas of colour and are suitable for a variety of techniques, including blending, layering and sgraffito. As Neocolor I are water-resistant, they can also be used with water-based colours for various resist techniques, where the coloured areas repel the water.

Neocolor I adhere to a wide variety of surfaces, including paper, cardboard, wood, glass, leather, textiles and stone. The pastels are made in Switzerland and supplied in a practical metal tin.
