Caran d’Ache Supracolor Aquarelle are professional watercolour pencils with soft, water-soluble leads and a high pigment concentration. The colours can be used dry like traditional coloured pencils or with water to create watercolour effects, soft transitions and washes.

The 3.8 mm leads provide a smooth application of colour and can be used for everything from fine lines and details to shading and larger areas of colour. The colours can be blended and built up in several layers, while working the pigment with a damp brush allows you to vary the result from visible pencil strokes to more fluid watercolour effects. Supracolor can also be combined with other techniques and materials, including Caran d’Ache Pablo, Neocolor and gouache.

The pencils are made from FSC-certified cedar wood and feature a hexagonal barrel. The water-soluble leads offer very good lightfastness, a high pigment concentration and are designed to be break-resistant. Supracolor is manufactured in Switzerland.

The set contains 12 watercolour pencils in assorted colours. Supplied in a metal tin.
