Create textured surfaces with a raw, plaster- and concrete-like appearance using Liquitex Professional Ceramic Stucco. This effect medium contains microscopic hollow ceramic spheres that build up a distinctive texture and give the dry surface a light grey, matt appearance.

Ceramic Stucco can be used on its own, mixed with acrylic paint or painted over once dry. Its thick consistency makes it easy to build up texture with a brush or palette knife – from thin layers to heavily raised surfaces. The medium is flexible and offers excellent adhesion, reducing the risk of cracking or flaking on flexible surfaces such as canvas.

The dry surface is absorbent and provides an excellent base for glazes, colour variations and other decorative effects. Paint over it with acrylic paint or continue working with materials such as charcoal and pastel to create contrasts between texture, colour and drawn details.
