Liquitex Professional Iridescent Medium is an acrylic medium that gives your acrylic paintings a pearlescent sheen and a vibrant play of light. The fine pearlescent pigments create a shimmering effect that changes depending on the angle of the light and the colour of the surface. The effect is most pronounced on dark colours but also adds subtle depth to lighter shades.

Iridescent Medium can be mixed with acrylic paint to create your own shimmering, metallic-like colours or used on its own as a transparent effect layer. It is suitable for both thin glazes and more opaque layers of colour, offering plenty of opportunities to experiment with colour, light and different effects.

Once dry, the surface has a durable, water-resistant and glossy finish. Suitable for canvas, paper, wood and other paintable surfaces, as well as for mixed media, illustration and decorative techniques.
