Liquitex Professional Matte Varnish is a permanent acrylic varnish that gives finished acrylic paintings a smooth, matt surface and protects against dirt, dust and the effects of UV light.

The varnish dries to a clear, flexible, hard and non-tacky surface and helps protect the painting over time. It helps prevent yellowing and discolouration caused by humidity, heat and UV light. The varnish is semi-transparent when applied and becomes completely transparent when dry.

Apply to a completely dry painting using long, even brushstrokes. Apply 1–2 thin coats and allow to dry for at least 24 hours between coats. The varnish should not be diluted with water and should be stirred gently before use to avoid air bubbles.

Permanent and cannot be removed after application.
