70% recycled plastic
The Begreen range was the first in the world to feature pens made from at least 70% recycled plastic (some models up to 90%). By choosing Begreen, you help save natural resources and reduce your carbon footprint – without compromising on quality or price compared to Pilot’s other collections. A simple choice, if you ask us!
85% refillable
Change the refill, not the pen. Almost every pen in the Begreen range is refillable, reducing plastic waste, lowering emissions and giving your pen a longer life. Each product page links to the correct refill, making it easy for you to find what you need.

The story behind Pilot
Pilot was founded in 1918 in Tokyo by Ryosuke Namiki and Masao Wada, two sailors with a passion for writing instruments. Their first innovation was the stainless steel nib, which solved the problem of fountain pens rusting at sea. In 1926, they took the next big step by patenting a unique ink delivery system for fountain pens, setting a new global standard. Since then, Pilot has continued to develop pens that combine technology, quality and design – from ballpoint pens and rollerballs to fountain pens and acrylic markers.
