Sennelier Introduction contains 24 soft pastels in a varied selection of colours for artistic work. The pastel colours are made from fine pigments mixed with chalk and porcelain clay, giving them a very soft consistency. The soft pastels are easy to apply and blend, making them suitable for creating opaque colour fields, details and smooth colour transitions.

The set is suitable both for those who want to start working with soft pastels and for artists looking for a basic selection of pastel colours. The pastels should be fixed after use to preserve the finished result. Due to their chalk content, they are not suitable for washes.

The set contains: Intense White (527), Naples Yellow (103), Lemon Yellow (600), Cadmium Yellow Orange Hue (197), Nasturtium Orange (930), Burnt Madder (376), Carmine (50), Purple Violet (323), Cobalt Violet Hue (363), Blue Violet (333), Magenta Violet (946), Prussian Blue (289), Cerulean Blue Hue (261), Turquoise Blue (732), Apple Green (205), Forest Green (913), Leaf Green (199), Black Green (179), Van Dyck Violet (406), Van Dyck Brown (434), Gray (521), Blue Gray (421), Violasceous Gray (478), Lamp Black (526).
