Sennelier Pastel À l'écu contains 20 half-size soft pastels for artistic work. The pastels are made from fine pigments mixed with chalk and porcelain clay, giving them a very soft consistency and making them easy to apply, blend and tone.

The compact format of the half-size pastels provides good control for detailed work and makes it easy to work with both sharp edges and larger areas. They are also easy to carry and store, making the set practical for both studio work and working in different locations. The 20 colours provide a varied selection for creating colour mixes, contrasts and smooth transitions.

The pastels should be fixed after use and are not suitable for washes due to their chalk content.
