The compact format of the half-size pastels provides good control for detailed work and makes it easy to work with both edges and larger areas. The set contains a broad palette of green, blue, yellow, red and earthy shades, providing plenty of possibilities for creating colour mixes, contrasts and smooth transitions. The pastels should be fixed after use to preserve the finished result. Due to their chalk content, they are not suitable for washes.
