UNI and Uni-Ball are both brands that come from the Mitsubishi Pencil Company, which comes from a long tradition of manufacturing pens. The year of 1979 UNI were the first in the world to launch a rollerball pen with a metal nib. This was also the first pen in the world using waterbased ink.
