Liquin Original from Winsor & Newton is a fast-drying, all-purpose medium for oil colour. It has a soft, gel-like consistency that improves the flow of the colour and makes it smoother to work with, while reducing visible brush marks. The medium also increases the transparency of the colour and is well suited to painting in multiple layers.

Liquin Original can reduce the drying time of oil colour by up to approximately half, depending on the colour and thickness of the paint layer. It resists yellowing and is a versatile choice for general oil painting.

For a thinner and more fluid medium for fine details, glazing and particularly smooth surfaces, Liquin Fine Detail is recommended.
