Winsor & Newton Studio Collection Watercolour Pencils is a set of 50 watercolour pencils, arranged in five carefully selected colour themes. The set offers a broad and varied palette for drawing, sketching and watercolour techniques and is suitable for both detailed work and larger areas of colour.

The highly pigmented, wax-based pencils can be used dry like traditional coloured pencils for soft tonal transitions, shading and layers of colour. By adding water with a brush, the colour dissolves and can be worked to create smooth transitions, washes and watercolour effects.

The 50 pencils are divided into five colour themes with 10 pencils in each: Floral Tones, Skyscape Tones, Foliage Tones, Landscape Tones and Skin Tones. The colour themes make it easy to find shades suited to different subjects, while colours from the different palettes can be freely combined.

The set is presented in a practical box with five separate compartments, one for each colour theme.
