Create long strands of colour, decorative drips and three-dimensional structures with Liquitex Professional String Gel. This effect medium has a thick, honey-like consistency that makes it possible to create raised lines and expressive textures with a high-gloss finish.

String Gel can be used on its own or mixed with acrylic paint and acrylic ink to create coloured strands and textural effects. The medium increases the paint's gloss, transparency and colour depth while maintaining the durability and flexibility of the acrylic paint. Apply by pouring or dripping, or work with a brush, palette knife or other tools to create everything from fine lines and strands to more pronounced structures.

Once dry, the medium becomes transparent and develops a glossy, wet-look surface while retaining its three-dimensional structure. The dry surface can also be painted over with acrylic paint to emphasise the texture and add further depth to the painting.
