Sennelier Oil Stick is professional oil colour in stick form, combining the properties of oil paint with the ability to draw and paint directly with the colour. This comprehensive set contains 36 sticks in a wide selection of colours, presented in a wooden box for convenient storage and a clear overview of the colours.

Oil Stick is made from pure pigments ground with vegetable oils, with part of the oil replaced by neutral mineral wax to give the colour its solid form. The sticks have a soft, creamy consistency and can be used directly on canvas, painting panels and primed paper. The colour can be applied in lines and areas of colour, built up in layers and worked with tools such as brushes or palette knives. Oil Stick can also be combined with traditional oil paint.

A thin protective film forms on the surface of the stick and is removed before use. After a few days without use, the film forms again and helps protect the colour.

With 36 colours, the set provides an extensive selection for artists who want to work with Oil Stick as a technique in its own right or combine the sticks with traditional oil painting.
