Winsor & Newton Galeria Gesso Allgrund is a white gesso used as a primer on canvas and other painting surfaces before applying acrylic paint. It is based on acrylic resin and contains high-quality pigments that provide an opaque white ground. The gesso helps reduce the absorbency of the surface and contributes to preserving colour clarity and reproduction.

The gesso can be used straight from the tub and applied with a brush or roller. For best results, two coats are recommended on canvas. Allow the first coat to dry before applying the next. The white surface provides a neutral base suitable for acrylic painting and helps colours stand out clearly.
