Platinum is a Japanese pen manufacturer with over 100 years of experience in fountain pens and writing instruments. Founded in 1919 by Shunichi Nakata, the company has grown to become one of Japan’s best-known fountain pen brands. Platinum combines Japanese pen-making traditions with technical innovations developed to provide an excellent writing experience.

One of the brand’s great classics is the Platinum #3776 Century, a fountain pen whose name is inspired by Mount Fuji’s height of 3,776 metres. The series is available in a range of colours and finishes and is particularly appreciated for its Japanese gold nibs, offered in several nib sizes to suit different writing styles.

The Platinum #3776 Century also features the company’s Slip & Seal mechanism. This design helps keep the nib securely sealed when the pen is not in use and prevents the ink from drying out. This means the fountain pen can remain ready to write even after longer periods without use.
