What’s hiding behind today’s door?
Platinum Preppy Fountain Pen
A fountain pen is filled with liquid ink and writes through a small metal nib that feeds the ink forward in a steady flow. This allows the pen to glide smoothly across the page and produce a soft, clean line without pressure. The Preppy is easy to activate: unscrew the barrel, push the ink cartridge in until you hear a click, and wait a moment for the ink to reach the nib.
Platinum is one of Japan’s oldest pen manufacturers and has been making fountain pens since 1919. The brand is known for its precision, reliable quality and craftsmanship, still carried on by the Nakata family today.
Sakura Gelly Roll Click
Gelly Roll Click is the clickable version of Sakura’s classic gel pen – the same smooth, consistent ink flow Gelly Roll is known for, now in a more convenient format. The gel ink provides opaque, clean lines and a pleasant writing feel whether you’re taking notes, sketching, doing lettering or adding details. The tip writes evenly on both light and dark paper, and the fast-drying ink helps reduce smudging. Sakura has been producing writing and drawing tools for over a century and created the world’s first gel ink in 1984.
Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor Colour Pencil
Colour pencils allow you to build colour in layers, blend shades and work both softly and with fine detail. A soft, pigment-rich core makes shading easy, creates smooth colour areas and lets you continue working without damaging the paper. Paper with a slight texture – such as mixed media, watercolour or pastel paper – gives the pigment excellent grip.
Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor is Lyra’s most professional colour pencil, featuring a soft, highly pigmented core that delivers bright, lightfast colours and great control for both details and larger areas. Lyra has been producing pencils since 1806 and is known for its quality and long tradition in artists’ materials.
Giotto Turbo Pro Dual Tip Marker
Behind today’s door is a water-based marker that can be used both with and without water to create watercolour-like effects. It has two tips: a flexible brush tip for smooth transitions, colour blending, layering and lettering, and a broad chisel tip that makes it easy to cover larger areas and draw clean, straight lines.
Giotto has been producing creative supplies in Italy since 1920 and is now one of the most recognisable brands within children’s and hobby materials. The products are CE-marked, non-toxic and designed to be safe to use while inspiring creativity at all ages.

It has a soft, stable colour core that creates smooth areas of colour and clear lines, making it easy to use for both children and adults. The unique shape and non-slip surface make it comfortable to hold, even during longer drawing sessions. The pencils are made in Germany from recycled wood scraps, making them both eco-friendly and innovative.
Blockx Acrylic Paint
BLOCKX acrylic paint is a premium-quality paint containing a very high proportion of pure pigments and no fillers, resulting in stronger colour, better coverage and exceptional permanence. The paint applies smoothly and responds immediately to the brush, giving you total control.
BLOCKX has been producing artists’ colours in Belgium since 1865, known for meticulous pigment making and a slow, traditional grinding process. Their paints have been used by artists such as Salvador Dalí and René Magritte, and the family behind the brand has upheld the same high standards for generations.
Sharpie S-Gel
A gel pen works in a similar way to a ballpoint, but the ink is mixed with gel, making it much smoother and more opaque. This allows the pen to glide easily across the page and produce a clean, even line without needing extra pressure. Gel ink also dries quickly, and the S-Gel type is designed not to smear – even on glossy paper – making it a great choice for left-handers or for anyone who writes a lot and wants to avoid smudging.
Stabilo Pen 68
Pen 68 is a water-based fibre-tip pen with a durable tip that produces a consistent line width of around 1 mm. Since the ink does not bleed through paper, it is ideal for bullet journals, notebooks and sketchbooks where you want to use both sides of the page. It can also be left uncapped for up to 24 hours, making it practical for children, classrooms and creative projects at home.
STABILO is a German brand that has been making pens since 1855 and is known for its colourful and reliable writing and drawing tools. Many of their pens are produced in Europe with high standards of quality and environmental care.
Staedtler Oil Pastels
Oil Pastels are soft, creamy crayons that deliver opaque colour and feel more like painting than drawing. You work with them by layering colours and blending with your finger or a piece of paper. They are ideal for backgrounds, large colour areas and expressive sketches, but can also be used for finer details with a light touch. Oil Pastels can be combined with other materials too, such as coloured pencils and markers. Staedtler’s Oil Pastels are designed to be easy to use, even for beginners.
Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolour
This pan watercolour activates quickly with water and delivers rich, even colour. The extra-large pans make it easy to work with wide brushes and cover larger areas. The paint dissolves smoothly, suitable for both airy washes and finer details.
Gansai Tambi is a handmade premium series from Japan, celebrated for its highly pigmented and lightfast shades. Each pan is pressed to create a soft, creamy texture and a palette inspired by traditional Japanese colours.
Daler-Rowney Aquafine Watercolour
Watercolour is transparent, water-soluble and ideal for building soft transitions and layered washes. This silver shade creates interesting effects and is fun to experiment with. It adds a subtle shimmer on white paper and a stronger, metallic shine on black paper. Use it to highlight water surfaces, create a shimmering winter scene or give your lettering an extra lift.
Aquafine from the British brand Daler-Rowney is an affordable yet quality-driven watercolour range. The colours are made with fine pigments that blend easily and produce bright tones.

Raphaël SoftAqua Watercolour Brush
SoftAqua is a synthetic watercolour brush designed to hold a large amount of water, up to twice as much as many other synthetic brushes. Its wavy fibre gives smooth, even strokes and a steady flow, while the tip maintains its shape for precise details.
Raphaël is one of the world’s oldest brush makers, with roots in France dating back to 1793. Their brushes combine traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation, and the SoftAqua range is a clear example, a synthetic brush created for high control, durability and a painting experience reminiscent of genuine sable hair.
Ecoline Brush Pen
The Ecoline Brush Pen is a brush pen filled with liquid watercolour, offering vibrant colours and smooth gradients. Its flexible tip makes it easy to switch between thin and broad strokes, which is why it is popular for illustration, sketching, brush lettering and graphic design. The colours can be blended directly on the paper or with water.
Ecoline is known for its bright, transparent colours that stay vivid even after drying. The pens use the same liquid paint as the brand’s classic bottles of watercolour ink, making them fully compatible. Combine brush pen and watercolour in the same piece of artwork.
Sennelier Soft Pastel Pencil
Sennelier Soft Pastel Pencils are woodless pastel pencils made entirely of compact pastel colour, giving you far more material to work with than a traditional wooden pencil. Their semi-soft texture offers both smooth coverage and precise lines, and they are easy to blend, shade and layer.
Sennelier has a long history of pastel making, and this is their first launch of a pastel pencil, inspired by their early woodless pastels. The range includes 48 rich, pigment-packed shades that can be shaped with sandpaper and perform best on pastel paper or slightly textured drawing paper.
Primo Acrylic Paint
Have you already created something with yesterday’s clay? Perfect timing. Acrylic paint adheres very well to air-dry clay. Primo’s acrylic paint is easy to work with, dries quickly and creates smooth, opaque layers on many DIY surfaces such as cardboard, stone, wood and, of course, your own clay creations. Tip: rinse your brush straight after use, acrylic paint dries fast and becomes difficult to remove once hardened.
Primo’s acrylic paint is an affordable choice for beginners or anyone wanting to restock their craft supplies without overspending. It’s designed for hobby projects and everyday creativity, with colours that are easy to use and give great results.
Primo Air-Dry Clay

Staedtler Pigment Liner
The Pigment Liner is a fineliner designed to create clean, precise lines. Ideal for sketching, illustration, journaling, note-taking and technical drawing. The pigment-based ink is both waterproof and lightfast, helping lines stay sharp even when you colour over them with alcohol markers or watercolour, without bleeding.
Staedtler is a classic German brand and a long-time favourite among artists, illustrators and designers. The Pigment Liner is one of their most appreciated pens thanks to its durable metal-clad tip, airplane-safe construction and reliable precision.

The Creative Marker is an acrylic marker, essentially acrylic paint in pen form, that dries quickly and covers well on most surfaces. The Brush Tip version has a flexible brush nib that makes it easy to switch between fine lines and broad strokes. Perfect for lettering as well as DIY projects. The paint flows smoothly without any pump mechanism, a unique feature!
Sharpie has been around for over half a century and is now one of the world’s most recognised pen brands. The Creative Marker is their latest innovation and already a big favourite among hobby creators. It’s also available with a firm tip.
Sennelier Abstract Acrylic Paint
Acrylic paint is water-based, dries quickly and offers great coverage on many surfaces, including wood, fabric, plastic, glass and stone. It’s easy to use, but some surfaces may need priming or varnishing to help the paint adhere properly.
The French brand Sennelier has been a favourite among artists since 1887, when Gustave Sennelier opened his shop near the École des Beaux-Arts. Abstract acrylic paint is one of their most modern developments, created to deliver strong pigments and a rich Heavy Body consistency that offers both control and expression, whatever technique you use.
